Bad Habit For Your Skin
A lot of my clients have asked me if it is OK to use makeup remover wipes. My answer...it is a very bad habit for your skin!
Make up remover wipes do not actually clean a thing on your skin. Rather than clean, these wipes actually just move makeup, dirt and dead skin around. They leave your skin an irritated mess. In addition, these wipes contain harmful chemicals, such as formaldehyde and many contain alcohol, which can cause your pores to be over stripped. This leads to the pores creating excess sebum, which can cause blackheads and acne.
So, when asked what they can use instead, I recommend my clients use a damp cotton pad and grapeseed oil to remove makeup. Grapeseed oil will not clog your pores and will not harm the delicate area around your eye. It can remove even the most stubborn of water proof mascara. In addition, I recommend a gentle, but effective cleanser, the Skin Script citrus green tea cleanser removes make up, but is gentle for both morning and night cleansing.
