Facial Cleansing Brushes
One daily habit that can wreck your skin is the overuse of facial cleansing brushes. These devices are not intended for every day use. They can cause irritation and lead to over exfoliation. If you exfoliate your skin too much, you may end up with acne and clogged pores.
In addition, most people do not properly clean and disinfect their cleansing brushes. This can lead to acne-causing bacteria to grow in the brushes. Then that can be spread on to your face the next time you use the brush. I know that sounds so gross, but it's true!
Facial brushes should only be used twice a week. They can be used as your main form of exfoliation. Once the brush is used, it needs to be cleaned with a gentle cleanser then placed in 99% alcohol for ten minutes. After properly washing the brush, it can be air-dried. This will stop your brush from becoming a feeding ground for bacteria and acne.
